You can save time at the counter when you activate Accelerated Check-in online. Just provide your driver's license and contact information that are normally collected at pick-up and we will be ready when you arrive. You'll be on the road and on vacation before you know it!
Picking up your vehicle after the location closes is easy with Alamo. After-hours Pick-Up might require you to follow a few additional steps, which you'll see in your confirmation email.
Returning your vehicle after the location closes is easy with Alamo. We'll tell you where to park it; just drop the keys in the dropbox and you're on your way!
Skip the rental counter lines and check in directly by using Alamo's touch-screen kiosk. Check-in using the kiosk and a receipt-sized rental agreement is printed. You'll be directed to your hire car on the lot. At the exit booth, show the booth agent your rental agreement and driving licence—and simply drive away.
No need to visit the counter or kiosk. You can go straight to your car!
In order to take advantage of this optional free service, you'll need to activate Accelerated Check-In online then choose the "Skip the Counter" option. You will be required to confirm your protection options, agree to the Rental Agreement Terms & Conditions and enter valid credit card details (there will be no charge until you return your vehicle). Simply print your rental agreement to bring with you, and you are all set! Go directly to your car, show the booth agent your rental agreement and driving licence—and get on the road!
Any additional authorised drivers must appear at the time of rental and meet age and driving licence requirements. An additional charge of 3.00 OMR per day for each additional authorised driver will be added to the cost of the rental, unless other contractual conditions apply.
After Hours pickups- Rental location services after hours with 24 hours minimum advance notice. Customers can contact our rental agent at 968 99312836 or send an email to travelsll at ouat.co.om. A premium fee of 5.00 OMR is applied for after hour service.
After Hours returns- Customer needs to make a request to the Rental agent on the counter while picking up the car that he or she would like to return after hours and they must provide a scheduled time and preferred branch location for the return. Also the customer can call 968 99312836 or send an email to travelsll at ouat.co.om 24 hours prior to return and request for an after hour return or drop to a desired branch location. Our rental agent will be waiting at the branch wearing an Alamo uniform to meet and greet the customer and facilitate the rental check in accordingly. A premium fee of 5.00 OMR applies for after hour service.
Minimum age to rent- 23 to 29 years old for car groups Economy to Compact, Intermediate-Midsize and 30 years old for Standard and above. No young driver fee applies.
Maximum Age to rent- 70 years old
Cross Border Policy- Customers are only allowed to drive into the UAE and will need to send an email notice along with copies of their Driving license and passport with stamped visa -for non GCC nationals- 48 hours prior to the rental date. Customers will then collect a Border Crossing Permit from our car rental counter at the time of rental pickup. Cross Border permit charges range from 25.00 OMR up to 7 days rental and 35.00 OMR for rentals in excess of 7 days. This fee also includes comprehensive UAE insurance coverage.
Our standard damage waiver cover provides excess coverage for damage to the body of the rental vehicle and/or theft. It does not cover damage to the tyres during the rental. If not included in your reservation, a daily fee depending on the car group rented is applicable for the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). If CDW is included or purchased, the renter will be responsible for an excess-deductible of 150.00 OMR in case of damage caused to the rental vehicle. A police report is mandatory for all insurance claims. In the absence of a police report, the renter is responsible for the entire damage repair cost.
If the car is collected at one location and then dropped off at a different location a one-way fee to cover the cost of returning the car to the original location will apply. 72 hours prior notification is required for all one-way rentals. Should the rental vehicle be dropped off at a location other than the one originally agreed without notification; the customer will incur a penalty fee of 100.00 OMR.
When you pick your car up, the fuel tank will be full or partly full. The customer is expected to replace the fuel you’ve used or a refuelling service fee will be charged. The service fee is 2.00 OMR plus the cost of the missing fuel based on market rates, approximately 0.220 Baisa per liter, but please note that market rates can fluctuate.
Acceptable Methods of Payment-
Credit Cards accepted are American Express, Visa, and MasterCard. Approved Vouchers and Cash when supported with a valid credit card are accepted.
Security Deposits- Rental deposit which is held on the customer's credit card will consist of the cost of the rental, fuel and damage waiver excess which amounts to 150.00 OMR for all car groups.
Basic roadside assistance is provided by AAA free of charge. This service includes tow up to 100 kilometers to the nearest service facility. Battery charge, flat tire replacement, fuel delivery, door unlocking service and minor roadside repairs. Service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week and the AAA Emergency number is 968 93877124.
Renter Requirements- Drivers license must have been held for at least one year. Holders of an International Driving License are required to also show their Passport at the time of rental as an additional form of identification.
